• Stocks slip ahead of Tesla, Apple earnings

  U.S. stocks fell from record highs as investors brace for an onset for earnings from the world's biggest tech giants including Microsoft, Apple and Amazon all set to report this week. After the bell today, Tesla will release its quarterly results and shareholders will listen for CEO Elon Musk's latest comments on bitcoin and whether the automaker will restart accepting the cryptocurrency for payment.
