• FDA authorizes COVID-19 booster shot for some immunocompromised people

  The Food and Drug Administration said in a statement late Thursday that it amended the emergency use authorizations for the Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines for certain immunocompromised individuals, who can now receive a third shot. The statement said other fully vaccinated individuals do not need an additional vaccine dose right now.
