• S&P captures record, Dow jumps 279 points

  U.S. stocks shrugged off early losses to stage a broad rally into the close as energy, healthcare and industrials led the gains giving the S&P 500 a fresh record. Corporate earnings continue to come in strong with over 88% of companies beating expectations bolstering the post pandemic economic recovery. Of note, Robinhood shares rallied over 24% absent of concrete news closing well above its $38 per share IPO debut.
