Her fight to end her court-ordered conservatorship took an unexpected turn this month, when her father -- the conservator of her estate -- Jamie Spears, filed a petition to end the arrangement. A former London Metropolitan Police officer will be sentenced Wednesday for the kidnap and murder of 33-year-old Sarah Everard. Everard disappeared as she walked home in March, reigniting a national debate on women's safety in Britain.

Thursday

A motion hearing is set for Thursday in Judy Huth's lawsuit against Bill Cosby. She alleges the comedian sexually assaulted her at the Playboy Mansion in 1974, when she was 15 years old.

Saturday

In Washington, DC, several groups will rally Saturday in support of reproductive rights. Sister marches will be held in other cities nationwide. Organizers say it comes in the wake of attacks on abortion rights.
