• Nasdaq leads stock rally, Bed Bath Beyond sinks

  The Nasdaq Composite took the lead in early trading with all three of the major U.S. averages rising despite an unexpected uptick in weekly jobless claims to 362,000, the third week of gains. In stock news, Bed Bath & Beyond fell 25% after warning over steeper inflationary pressures. In commodities, oil fell to the $72 per barrel level.
