• Nasdaq ticks to record despite jobs miss

  U.S. stocks ended the session and the week mixed after the jobs report for August showed 235,000 workers were added, woefully short of economist estimates which were north of 700,000. While the Nasdaq Composite pushed out a new record, the S&P 500 and Dow Jones Industrial Average slipped. Apple shares closed just shy of its record high.
