• Stocks mixed to kick off September

  The Nasdaq Composite and S&P 500 are on pace to extend record levels as the trading month of September kicks off. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was little changed. Elsewhere, Apple shares hit a fresh all-time high and oil dipped to the $67 per barrel level.
