Several people were killed and others injured in a Norwegian town by a man using a bow and arrows, the police said. A suspect is in custody.

The attack took place in Kongsberg, a town of 26,000 people about 50 miles outside Oslo.

"The information we now have, this person carried out these actions alone," the police chief told reporters.
