• Dow climbs over 400 points as big bank earnings beat

  U.S. stocks rallied after Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Morgan Stanley and Citigroup all reported strong results and weekly jobless claims hit a fresh pandemic low. Investors brushed past more inflation data after prices at the producer level jumped 8.6%, a fresh record. Elsewhere, oil hovered at the $80 per barrel level.
