• Stocks slide as oil tops $83

  U.S. stocks opened on a down note Monday as investors position ahead of earnings from companies including Tesla, Netflix and IBM. Later today, investors will focus on Apple's event which is expected to update on Mac computers. In commodities, oil continued its upward move topping $83 per barrel, driving prices at the pump to a fresh 7-year high of $3.32 per gallon.
