• Stocks close at records in winning week, Pfizer soars 11%

  U.S. stocks closed at fresh records in a broad rally led by energy and industrials helped by the addition of 531,000 workers last month and positive news from Pfizer on its COVID-19 oral pill. Shares of the pharma giant posted the best session since March of 2009. For the week, all three of the major averages posted gains led by the Nasdaq Composite's 3% run. In commodities, oil closed at $81.27 per barrel.
