• Dow jumps 617 points as omicron fears ease

  U.S. stocks rose in a broad rally as investor fears over omicron eased. All 11 of the S&P's largest sectors rose with industrial and energy shares topping the leader board. Late in the session, the FTC disclosed it will sue to block Nvidia's $40 billion acquisition of chip maker Arm.
