• S&P, Dow notch gains, oil hits $76

  The Dow Jones Industrial Average and S&P 500 paced early gains on Wall Street putting the broadest measure of stocks on track for its 70th record close. Financial and energy names topped the leader board as oil hit the $76 per barrel level. As for the Nasdaq Composite, it bounced between losses and gains, as large-cap tech companies such as Apple and Microsoft waffled.
