• S&P grabs record even as inflation sizzles

  U.S. stocks ended the week on a high note with the S&P 500 nabbing its first record close since November even as consumer prices surged 6.8%, the fastest pace since 1982. Oracle shares rose over 15% to a fresh record. In commodities, oil closed at $71.67 per barrel after rising over 8% for the week.
