• Stocks head for third day of gains on final session of the week

  U.S. stocks rallied in early trading after a series of positive economic reports on durable goods and jobless claims. Financial and energy stocks paced the gains as oil neared the $73 per barrel level. Thursday marks the final session of the week for equity trading while the bond market closed at 2 pm ET today.
