• Dow, S&P extend records, oil nears $77 level

  U.S. stocks climbed for the second straight session of the new year. The Dow Jones Industrial Average paced the early gains Tuesday helped by Boeing and JPMorgan, while the Nasdaq Composite lagged. In commodities, oil inched closer to $77 per barrel as OPEC holds its first meeting of 2022.
