• Dow, S&P hit records as trading 2022 kicks off

  U.S. stocks notched gains across the board on the first trading day of 2022. The Dow Jones Industrial Average added 246 points or 0.7%, while the S&P gained 0.6% to close at record highs. The Nasdaq Composite jumped 1.2% helped by Apple, which intra-day, became the first U.S. company valued at $3 trillion.
