News Alert: FDA authorizes Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine boosters for 12- to 15-year-olds
The US Food and Drug Administration on Monday authorized Pfizer's Covid-19 vaccine for booster shots in 12- to 15-year-olds. Boosters are now available for everyone 12 and older in the United States. The FDA also shortened the time from completion of the primary series of Pfizer's vaccine from six months to five months – the point at while people are now eligible for a booster shot. Finally, the agency authorized a third primary series dose of Pfizer's Covid-19 vaccine for some immunocompromised children ages 5-11.
