The suspect in the Highland Park, Ill., parade shooting planned the attack for weeks, and wore women's clothing as a disguise to escape, officials said.

The suspect in the attack, which killed six during a July 4 parade, fired more than 70 rounds into the crowd, the police said at a news conference.

An official said the shooting appeared to be random. Several other details, including a motive, remained unclear.
