Donald Trump formed a new company days before a fraud lawsuit was filed against him, a move that the New York attorney general questioned.

The New York attorney general, Letitia James, raised the prospect that Mr. Trump was seeking an end run around some of her lawsuit's harshest potential punishments by establishing a new company out of state.
