• Stocks end mixed as oil, gold skid

  The Nasdaq inched higher helped by Google and Tesla, while the S&P 500 fell short of a fresh record after an unwinding of key commodity prices including oil and gold which both fell sharply. The Dow slid over 106 points as Chevron and United Health keep the average in the red.
